Real Wedding

The marriage of Basia Porczyk and Christopher Marshall took place at 3pm at the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Between the creamy silica sand beach with its unbelievably turquoise
water and the gorgeously lush grounds of the venue, it was a dream location to say "I do".
It was 30 degrees C and the sun was shining despite rain and thunder storms being in the forecast. Apparently, Basia's contagious smile and sunny disposition can influence even the weather!
The couple had decided to meet with each other before the ceremony. We blindfolded them to add some drama to their first peek.
The ceremony took place on the beach where a lovely gazebo had been set up for the occasion. There were plenty of good humored heckles and congratulations from sun bathing on-lookers.
Basia and Chris did their first dance inside a "stage" of rose petals in the shape of a heart traced in the sand.
The next day, we meet the newly weds at sunset for a "Trash the Dress" Session. It started out modestly as Basia didn't want to get her dress wet. By the end of the photo shoot we were all fairly soaked!
They both agreed that the "Trash the Dress" Session was one of their favorite memories of the entire wedding.
Basia & Chris rinsed 3 buckets of sand out of the dress in the hotel shower & packed it in a plastic bag for the flight home. They had it professionally cleaned and I'm happy to report that the dress cleaned up beautifully. Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too!
