Image size and other requirements
You may upload up to
30 images per Photographer per Contest
All images uploaded for the Contest must be
780 pixels on the long side in JPEG format with extension
.jpg and no larger than
200 KB
Images must have no borders, edges, strokes, studio logos, names etc.
No specific file name required for images
All images must be taken by the participant at actual wedding or engagement session. No images allowed from workshops, all types of commercial shots, etc.
Each photo may be submitted only to one Category of the Contest and may not be used at any other upcoming PWPC Contests
No collages allowed

On a very important journey through Burma and India in 2002, I traveled
with established French artist Vincent Bousserez and Danish photographer
Morten Germund. After a few months of seeing light, objects, and people
through their eyes I was taught how to harness what I saw and put it on
film. I always saw beauty and obscurity but these two men truly set me in
a direction that I would never turn away from. I have since traveled
through over 75 countries and the draw to find remote and interesting
places on earth still consumes me.
I've been featured in numerous galleries and published in many magazines,
newspapers and blogs and recently in The Lonely Planet magazine and
recognized in an international competition in National Geographic.
After I met my wonderful wife and we settled down back in Canada six years
ago I decided to transfer the skills I learned from years of shooting and
backpacking abroad to weddings. We have since added three little
backpackers to our family and call Alberta our home.

Julia Unchura was born in Kiev, Ukraine, into a family of circus artists and was raised in a very creative environment. Her grandfather had a passion for photography and cinematography and her father, following him, was a photography enthusiast. Growing up in such a household, she developed respect for visual art which only deepened as she began her studies at the Ukrainian Art School.
Her cultural and familial roots, education from the European School of Photography, as well as the artistic influence of various photographers including Henri Cartier-Bresson and Yervant, have combined within her into a unique and distinctive photographic approach.
Today she works as a photographer and specializing in wedding photojournalism, family, and event photography. The wedding photos she takes have a photo-journalistic feel; she try not to intrude as a photographer, but capture the truth and beauty of special moments.

Welcome! I am Vatche "Vick" Jabarian, a Montreal-based photographer,
husband and father who is endlessly inspired by my beautiful family and
the stunning imagery that surrounds us. For most of my life, I've felt
compelled to create artistic representations of the meaningful moments I
never wanted to forget. My father recognized this passion in me and first
introduced me to photography when I was 10 years old. It was a perfect
fit; I became the official family photographer for vacations, weddings and
special events. Weddings always stood out among the birthdays and
holidays. I loved being a part of such a momentous occasion, capturing the
start of a journey with moments that will retell the story for years to
come.
