PWPC Winter 2017 Wedding Photography Contest Judge: Fran Chelico
Fran Chelico   Fran Chelico Photography    (North Vancouver, BC)

Fran Chelico moved to Vancouver seven years ago after receiving formal training in New York City.

After dabbling in all kinds of photography she found her true love with weddings. She loves the thrill and magic of weddings. To be able to capture a bride at her happiest and most radiant moment is always such a thrill. The couple are surrounded by all of the people who matter most and to capture the most tender moments as they unfold, is very magical. To be responsible for someone else's memories that years from now will be relived over and over again just makes me so proud and fills my heart with joy. It is always such an honor.

Awards: PWPC, Fearless Photographer, JuneBug Weddings, and BC Wedding awards.

PWPC Winter 2017 Wedding Photography Contest Judge: Jozef Povazan
Jozef Povazan   Povazan Photography    (North Vancouver, BC)

I started my photography adventure a long time ago, with the criminal police department in Europe for undercover operations. One day I simply quit the job and moved to the UK to study the art of black and white photography.

When I 'learned enough' to know how not to ruin the film emulsion by switching the lights off in the darkroom I thought I had it all figured out and moved to Vancouver, BC to follow my dreams. While there I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life, who then traveled the world with me (and our cameras). Wedding photography came to our lives in 2009.

After seeing so many beautiful places and meetings so many amazing people weddings were simply the perfect fit for us. The thrill of photography adventures in our lives remains, even though criminals, Mt. Everest hikes and sleepless nights in humid Malaysian jungles have been exchanged for brides and grooms celebrating love. My biggest award so far - apart from photography - is my wife, Maria, and our children, Sofia & Joshua.

PWPC Winter 2017 Wedding Photography Contest Judges: Sunny Parmar & Jessica Thiessen
Rabih Madi   Madi Photography    (Laval, QC)

Rabih is an award-winning Montreal-based Wedding & Portrait photographer. Before weddings, he started studio Portrait & Fashion Photography, assisting many photographers at various shoots until he developed his love for Weddings.

Why Wedding Photography? He always loved to have a job that allows him to use his creativity & also document important moments of peoples' lives.

Rabih's background was actually in Finance, but since he is a strong believer in continuous growth & development, he has taken various trainings with some of the biggest names in Photography, including Lindsay Adler & Scott Kelby, to name a few.

What started as hobby turned into full-time business. I hope to continue to inspire people with my photography
